Mr. Gary Burnette, 73, of Ellijay, GA, died Saturday, September 7, 2019.
Mr. Burnette was born December 12, 1945 in Gilmer County, the son of the late Mack and Ada Holland Burnette, He was a graduate of Gilmer High Class of 1965, was a stone mason ,and operated a dry cleaning business until his retirement. His parents, and siblings, Bud Burnette, Quida Aldredge, and Joan Godwin preceded him in death.
Gary was of the Baptist Faith and he will always be remembered for his love of people and big smile.
Survivors include: wife; Marsha Davenport Burnette, children and spouses, Jason and Karry Burnette, Joy and Justin Wingate,, grandchildren, Sophie, Adleigh, Mac, Jilly, Camden and Kellen, siblings; Sue Davis, Maxine Charles, mother-in-law; Kathleen Davenport along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home Rev. Charles Sims, Rev. Steve Jones, Rev. Ken Neybert, Ben Arp officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
