Mr. James R. “Jim” Walker, age 81, of Caryville, FL, formally of Ellijay, died Thursday September 5, 2019.
Mr. Walker was born April 23, 1938 in Trion, GA, the son of the late Harold and Eunice Williams Walker. He was retired Truck Driver, having worked for Gilmer County, and was a graduate of Gilmer High School Class of 1957. He also served in the US Army and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
His parents and brother; Donald “Duck” Walker, sister; Barbara Walker preceded him inn death.
Survivors include: wife: Margie May Walker, sons and daughter-in-law: James “Little Jim” and Teresa Walker, Panama City, Fl, Jason Walker, Vernon, FL. brother; Ronald “Hoss” Walker, Ellijay, 3 grandchildren; James Howard Walker, Jr, Abbigale Walker, Allison Walker.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. Interment will be in the Turniptown Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will meet with friends Sunday from 4 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
