Renee Sluder Rogers: Obituary

Mrs. Renee Sluder Rogers, age 56, of Ellijay, died Friday, Nov. 8,2019.

Mrs. Rogers was born, March 23,1963, in Gilmer County. She attended Gilmer High, was a housewife; and member of the Ellijay Church of Christ.

Renee had such a bright personality. She could light up any room. She loved sweets, her animals and listening to Elvis and George Strait. Most of all, Renee enjoyed spending time with her closest friends and family, especially her loving husband, children and grand-babies. She was loved by all who met her and will continue to touch our lives forever.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy, daughter; Stephanie (Scott)  Cook, Ellijay, son, Bobby(Delana) Ballew, Cherry Log, daughter, Kimberley (Gene) McClure, Canton, father, Wayne Sluder, Ellijay, mother; Pearlie Mae Weeks Sluder, Ellijay, six grandsons; Walker Ballew, Braxton Ballew, Beaux Ballew, Gavin Cook, Garrett Cook,Grayson Cook, brother, Wayne Sluder, Jr.,sisters Abby Chancey Ellijay, Shelia Cochran Blue Ridge, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 pm from the Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Richards and Eulogy by Kerry Sweat. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Sunday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
