Billy A. Newton: Obituary

Mr. Billy A. Newton age 71 of Resaca, died Friday November 15, 2019.

Mr. Newton was born August 17, 1948 in Gilmer County,the son of the late Clarence and Susie Davenport Newton. He worked for Gold Kist and was of the Baptist Faith. He was married to the late Jerry Sue Sisson Newton.

Survivors include: daughters; Christy Bowen, Ellijay, April Lingerfelt, Resaca, 4 grandchildren; Cody Mashburn, Jacob Newton, Kalie Newton and Hannah Bowen 2 great-grandchildren; Emma and Railey Lingerfelt, brother; Dartis Newton, sister; Betty Ann Pruitt, Ellijay, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 2:00 pm from the Flat Branch Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton and Rev. Dan Rosser officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
