300 Rapid COVID Tests Donated to GCSO for Employees/Inmates

THANK YOU to Katie Lancy and Georgia Mountains Health for donating approximately 300 rapid COVID tests to GCSO for employees/inmates.
Sheriff Nicholson stated, “the biggest obstacle we’ve had in regard to staffing through this ordeal is the ability to have quick results on diagnostic testing. Having these rapid COVID tests will aid in giving our employees that result quickly.
Let’s face facts, we are ‘public safety’ and like everyone else, we’re short staffed but the ‘show must go on.’ So, the quicker we know where we stand, the quicker we can either keep our staff working or get back to work.”
