Drugs and fire arms recovered after executing a search warrant

PRESS RELEASE – On February 17, 2025, Gilmer County deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Simmons Road in western Gilmer County belonging to Alex Ledesma and Sarah Anne Aranda.
During the search, deputies discovered 24 grams of cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, approximately $1,400 in cash, and around nine pounds of marijuana. Additionally, 14 firearms were seized, as Ledesma is a convicted felon.
LEDESMA is charged with:
- 14 counts – Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
- Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime
- VGCSA (Violation of the Ga Controlled Substances Act) – Cocaine
- VGCSA (Violation of the Ga Controlled Substances Act) – Marijuana
- VGCSA (Violation of the Ga Controlled Substances Act) – Psilocybin Mushrooms
ARANDA is charged with:
- Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Crime
- VGCSA (Violation of the Ga Controlled Substances Act) – Cocaine
- VGCSA (Violation of the Ga Controlled Substances Act) – Marijuana
- VGCSA (Violation of the Ga Controlled Substances Act) – Psilocybin Mushrooms
As of this press release, both remain in custody at the Gilmer County Jail and could face additional charges.
