Mr. Guerry Michael “Mike” Bridges age 61 of Brushy Top Road, Ellijay died Sunday July 3, 2011.

Mr. Bridges was born on July 17, 1949 in Atlanta, GA. He is the son of the late James Terry Bridges & Bobbie Ann Aldredge Bridges. He was a self employed carpenter and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Woodstock, GA. He was also served with the US Army in Vietnam.

Survivors include: Wife: Jane Bridges of the home; Wife-in-law: Marion Bridges Staley, Star, ID; Daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy Lynn and Ken Macklin, Star, ID, Samantha and Ted Teems, Ballground GA, Donna and John Weaver, Ellijay, Jessica Stewart, Ellijay; 11 Grandchildren; 1 Great grandchild; Brothers: Butch Bridges, Birmingham, AL, Bob Bridges, Canton, Steve Bridges, Ellijay; Too many special friends to count.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 7 at 11am from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with military honors by the U.S. Army.
