“You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:3-4.Lord, we use prayer so much but know so little about it. We ask in the amiss because we live before you in the wrong way. It is so easy to be self-centered motivated by our own pleasures rather than for the wellbeing of others and for your glory.

Help us as believers to grow in Christ so that we will not be spiritual babes who keep many of our old ways. We want to place ourselves against the evil in our lives and toward friendship and fellowship with you.
