Mrs. Lois Jean Shelton age 77 of Old Hwy 5 S. Ellijay, GA died Tuesday November 15, 2011.

Mrs. Shelton was born February 14, 1934 to the late Thomas C. Carringer and Katherine Kitty Carringer. She worked in manufacturing industry.

Survivors Include: Husband: Newman Shelton, of the home; Sons and Daughters in-law: Greg & Diane Shelton Pat & Kathy Shelton, All of Ellijay; Daughters and Sons in-law: Debbie Shelton, Marsha & Sam Buntin, and Rhonda & James Owens, All of Ellijay; Brothers: Ted Carringer, T.C. & Vickie Carringer, and Edger & Kathy Carringer, All of Ellijay; Sisters in-law: Louzille Carringer, Hayesville, NC Reba Harris, Rosman, NC; 9 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday November 17, 2011 at 2pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Pastor Irene Wofford and Brother Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Wednesday November 16th from 12 noon until 9 p.m. at the Bernhardt Funeral Home.
