Mrs. Beatrice “Bea” Mashburn McJunkins age 94 of Logan Circle, Ellijay died Monday December 5, 2011.

Mrs. McJunkins was born January 5, 1917 in Polk County, TN the daughter of the late George Mashburn and Frances Coleman Mashburn. She owned Bea’s Fashions dress shop, was a past Matron Ellijay Chapter # 340 Order of the Eastern Star also Past Worthy Grand Matron Of Georgia, and a member of Whitestone Baptist Church. Her husband Grover McJunkins and daughter Mary Ellen McJunkins precede her in death.

Survivors include: Daughters: Jimmie Parker, Ellijay, Frankie Forrester, McCaysville; Grandchildren: Eugenia Parker Arnold, Cumming, GA, John Camron Parker, Ellijay, GA, Kelly Watkins, McCaysville, GA, Steven Forrester, Dalton, GA; 9 Great grandchildren; 3 Great great grandchildren; Sisters: Charlene Herndon, Ducktown, TN, Ethlene Williams, Knoxville, TN.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 7, 2011 at 1:00pm from the Whitestone Baptist Church with Rev. Corey Rich and Rev. James Holt officiating. Music was by Carol Castellano, Patricia Martin, and Philip Gee. Pallbearers will be Steven Forrester, Matthew Forrester, Cameron Parker, John Arnold, Jacob Arnold, and Jeff Arnold. Interment was held in the Whitestone Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitestone Baptist Church, c/o Deryl Hyde, 53 Cripple Creek Drive, Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mrs. McJunkins.
