Mr. Max Edward James age 76 of Ellijay, GA passed on Thursday, August 1st, 2013.Mr. James was born on October 10th, 1936 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia to his late parents William Benjamin and Ethel Ray James. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, a honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, serving three years in Germany, and a retired employee of the carpet mill.

Mr. James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Edward and Beverly James of Ellijay, GA; Grandchildren and in-law, Crystal and Tony Frachiseur, Christopher James, Cody James, and Shawn Jeffrey James; 8 Great grandchildren; Sisters, Lois James Newton of Ellijay, GA, Oleeta James Sanford of Ellijay, GA, and Shirley James Sams of Florida; Brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas R. James of Wadsworth, OH and Dencil and Rhonda James of Pembrooke Pines, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 3rd, 2013 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Banks and Rev. David Nicholson officiating. Vocals will be by Bill McVey. A military graveside service will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 4pm until 9pm Friday, August 2nd, 2013 at the Logan Funeral Home and Chapel.
