Kathy Parks, age 43 of Ellijay, Georgia passed from this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, Georgia.A member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, born, September 25, 1970 in Cartersville, Georgia to her late parents Tarver Wilson Bennett and Nancy Ingle Ledford. Mrs. Parks was a graduate of Murray County High School and was employed by Shaw Industries, where she was a supervisor.

Survivors include husband of 22 years, “Jay” Larry H. Parks, Jr. of the home in Ellijay; daughter, Kaylan R. Parks of the home; son Kurtis R. Parks also of the home; sisters and brother-in-law Jackie Lynn Bennett of Chatsworth, GA., Nancy Virginia Martin of Eaton, GA., Stella and Trey Henderson, III of Calhoun, GA, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday September 27th, 2014 from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Emmett officiating, Banks family performing music and vocals. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gene James, George Jones, Mark McArthur, Will Parks, Scotty Hamlin and Jeremy Tinch.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday September 26, 2014 at Logan Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Youth Group 1161 Pleasant Hill Rd Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Kathy Bennett Parks.
