Join us for this week’s story “Elephants on Parade” All ages welcome. Both Story Time and LapSit are excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.
Tween Advisory Board

We have started a TWEEN Advisory Board (grades 3rd-6th) to help us know what Tween kids are interested in. We will brainstorm ideas about future programming and other activities you would like to do at your library. Kids 9 and under with adult supervision please
Puppet Show

The Puppet Show “Happy the Clown’s New Job” is presented by teen and tween volunteers. The Puppet Show is followed by a simple craft. Kids 9 and under with adult supervision please.

Make-N-Take Clinic

Green cleaning. We will attempt to make an all-purpose vinegar cleaning spray with essential oils. You keep and take the cleaning spray home with you.
Word 101
Tuesday, March 15 @ 12:00 PM
Learn the basics of Microsoft Word. We will introduce you to creating documents, adding content, saving the file and using templates. Registration and an active library card are required.
Lunch & Learn Knitting
Wednesday, March 16 @ 12:00 PM
Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! It’s OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color. This is a “drop in when you can” event.
The Friends of the Library Bookshelf
Calling all collectors! The Bookshelf has a large selection of reference books for collectors this week, covering everything from teddy bears to rare coins.
Take a look at the “last chance” shelves where our inventory of half-priced books is refreshed weekly. You can put your payment for these books in the donations box if the Bookshelf is closed.
Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from noon-2:00 on Saturdays
