Mr. Duane B. Sevcech, age 85 of Dalton, Georgia, formerly of Ellijay, passed on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. Born July 19, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Albert Sevcech and the late Evelyn Sevcech. Mr. Sevcech was self employed as a TV repairman and a member of the Catholic Faith. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Sevcech and son, Jesse Duane Sevcech, brothers, Richard and Albert Sevcech.

Mr. Sevcech is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Oscar Martinez of Dalton, GA, Joyce and Earl Johnson of Ellijay, GA and Teresa Holt of Panama City Beach, FL, son, Joseph Sevcech of Ellijay, GA, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, sisters and brother-in-law, Jackie and Harry Bean and Carol Sevcech all of Zephyrhills, FL.

A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday March 17th, 2016 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Father Carlos Vargas officiating. Music and singing will be by Irene Wofford and Earl Johnson. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal, GA. with Jason Sevcech, James Sevcech, Ronnie Holt, Jesse Johnson, Andrew Iler, Dakota Iler, Ronny Wright and Bobby Wright serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Logan Funeral Home.
