Beginning this Saturday, GCL will show matinees on 2 Saturdays each month. This week’s movie is Tomorrowland. Most movies are suitable for all ages. Light refreshments will be available during the movie.

Join us for this week’s story “Under the Big Top” All ages welcome. Both Story Time and LapSit are excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

Intro to Excel
Tuesday, March 29 @ 12:00 PM
The Intro to Excel seminar will teach beginners how to use Excel’s basic operations such as inputting data, formatting, and using simple functions. An active library card and registration are required.
Lunch & Learn Knitting
Wednesday, March 30 @ 12:00 PM
Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! Its OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color. This is a “drop in when you can” event.
The Friends of the Library Bookshelf
Do you remember..? This week the Bookshelf is offering a large collection of vintage children’s books, classic favorites from the past, many no longer in print. Come find a few old friends to share with your kids or grandchildren.
Remember that the library welcomes donations of gently read books and magazines. Those that the library doesn’t need come to the Bookshelf, with all the proceeds benefiting the library.
