Mr. Earl S. Sharples, Jr., age 62 of Talking Rock, died Monday October 3, 2016.
Mr. Sharples was born November 24, 1953, in New Jersey, the son of the late Earl S., Sr. and Clara Elizabeth Marshall Sharples. He was a high school graduate served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division, was employed by Daniel and Lawson Pest Control and was a member of the Harvest Missionary Church.

Survivors include; wife: Loretta Richards Sharples, daughter; Grace Emmaline Sharples, step-sons: Kevin Richards and Joseph Sanford, 5 step-grandchildren; Nolan Rymer, Kelsie Sanford, Alexas Sanford, Ryder Charles, Payton Wilson, sister; Donna Carrier, Orlando, FL., Beth Greene, Tyler TX, Tina Schosnig, West Palm Beach, FL, brother; Jack Sharples, Manchester, TN , mother-in-law; Ruth Richards, Talking Rock, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Eaton officiating. Interment will be in the Yukon cemetery with military honors by the North Georgia Honor Guard.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 11:00 am until 9pm at the funeral home.
