Mrs. Ruby Stanley, age 88, of Doublehead Gap Rd, Blue Ridge, died Thursday, June 28,2018.

Mrs. Stanley was born March 30, 1930, in Fannin County, the daughter of the late Grover and Daisey Long Hughes. She worked in the textile industry and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Prince Stanley, son Johnnie Stanley and Infant daughter Carolyn Stanley.

Survivors include: son; Jack Stanley, Atlanta, daughter; Jimmie Priest, Canton, 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Daisey Hyde, Resaca, brother-in-law; Jacob Stanley and sister-in-law; Edith Stanley, along with her devoted friend and companion Jim Sluder, Dial.

Funeral services,will be held Saturday at 6:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Garrett officiating. Interment will be Sunday at 1:00pm in the Big Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will meet with friends Saturday from 1:00pm until the service hour of 6:00pm at the funeral home.
