• 14 Bobcats Bound for State

    The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team fresh off an 11th straight Area Traditional Tournament championship, competed in the Sectionals Tournament for a chance to compete in the State Tournament. The Bobcats took all 14 wrestlers to Sectionals and ended the tournament with all 14 wrestlers making through to the State Traditional Tournament.

  • James Jumps to Valdosta

    Gilmer High School’s quarteback, Chris James, signed a football scholarship to play at Valdosta State. James was 1st Team All Region 7-AAAA and led to the team to a third place finish in the region and a state playoff birth his as a senior.

  • Bobcats Best in Area for 11th Straight Time

    The Gilmer High School Bobcats wrestling team won its 11th straight Area Traditional Tournament, winning at Ridgeland High School with 272 points. The Bobcats had 12 wrestlers make the finals, and all 14 wrestlers qualify for the Sectionals Tournament. Northwest Whitfield was second with 225 points and Heritage was third with 147.

    The Gilmer High School basketball teams traveled to Cartersville to take on the Purple Hurricanes, with mixed results. The Lady Cats clawed out a 65-53 victory while the Bobcats fell 71-55.

    Gilmer Soccer Club is registering now for spring recreational soccer for children ages 3 to 18. Registration is on-line at www.gilmersoccer.com. The fee for U8 – U19 is $100.
