Mrs. Eulene Silvers Sanford, age 77, of Ellijay, died Saturday, October 3, 2015.

Mrs. Sanford was born June 15, 1938 in Gilmer County the daughter of the late Lucean and Ethel Barrett Silvers. She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, worked as a teller for Bank of Ellijay and Gilmer County Bank and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmy Sanford and son Barry Sanford, brothers Eugene Silvers and Howard Silvers.

Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Joy Sanford, Dalton, daughter-in-law: Debra Sanford, Ellijay, brother and sisters-in-law: Cecil and Lillie Sanford, Edna Sanford, Mattie Morris all of Ellijay grandchildren and spouses, Russell and Jessie Sanford, Greenville,SC, Justin and Rachel Sanford, Charleston,SC, Arielle and John Arevalo, Woodstock, Caleb Padgett and Brooke Padgett,Ellijay, special great-grandchild, Addison Padgett, special friends, Larry and Doris Tankersley, special caregivers, Sallie Estes and Stella Pratt.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Dr. David Drake and Rev. Emuel Sanford officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 9pm Tuesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
