Gilmer High School Holding Graduation Ceremony May 20

Uncategorized

Gilmer High School is pleased to announce the Class of 2016 Commencement Exercises.

The event will be held on Friday at 7 p.m., in the Gilmer High School Gymnasium. Tickets are required to attend the event, and admission is free to all spectators.

In an effort to show students the honor they deserve, Gilmer High School asks that all spectators treat the ceremony as a dignified event. While the event will be held in the gym, it is a serious event, not a game. No pets, alcohol or tobacco will be permitted at the ceremony. Small children must be attended and need to sit with their parents.

Spectators may enter the gymnasium through the main/upper doors on the northwest side of the building. The doors will open promptly at 6 p.m. for spectators, and seating will be “first come, first serve.” Complimentary shuttle buses will be running for guests parking in the Gilmer High School and Mountain View Elementary parking lots. There is a limited number of handicapped parking spots available in the upper parking lot and you must request a handicapped parking pass prior to the event. GHS asks that spectators not park vehicles along the side of the road on Bobcat Trail due to emergency accessibility and the safety of all attendees.

The event will air live on ETC3 and bobcatnation.tv. Please see the GHS website for detailed parking maps. Gilmer High School looks forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with the community! If you have any questions, or need to request a handicapped parking permit, please contact the school at 706-276-5080.
