Mechele “Missy” Rene Dillard, age 46 of Cleveland, GA, formerly of Ellijay, GA passed on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at her residence.

Mechele was born April 1, 1970 in Copperhill, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist faith and graduated from Gilmer High School. Missy went on to attend the University of Georgia and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She owned and operated Circles CD store in Ellijay and currently operated a website called TVRuckus, which she and a business partner built from the ground up.

She is survived by her fiance, Mark Lunsford of Cleveland, GA; Mother and step-father, Shirley “Shirl” and Lee Stepp of Blue Ridge, GA; Father, William “Bill” Dillard of Ellijay, GA; Brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Brandy Dillard of Ellijay, GA; Nephew, Caleb Beasley of Jasper, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 6th, 2016 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Music and vocals will be by Wesley and Amy Banks.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at the Logan Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation at 8301 Professional Place, Suite 200, Landover, MD 20785 in memory of Miss Dillard.
