Mr. Phillip Glen Hyatt, age 79 of Ellijay, Georgia passed on Friday morning, December 23, 2016, at the Gilmer Nursing Home.

Mr. Hyatt was born June 1, 1937 in Ellijay, Georgia to his late parents Cuthbert “Cub” Hugh Hyatt and Ruth Conner Hyatt. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School and worked for the Georgia Department of Health as a supervisor.

He is survived by his cousins, Louann and David Searcy and the Connor brothers, along with special friends George and Ernestine Hall and Tom and Betty Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM Tuesday, December 27th, 2016 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Butch Jones officiating. Music and vocals will be by Irene Wofford. Interment will follow in the Ellijay City Cemetery with Doug Hall, Donald Hall, Tim Hall, Alan Hall and Doug Hyatt officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Logan Funeral Home.
