Mrs. Claudine Rogers Hollifield, age 77 of Ellijay died Tuesday January 3, 2017.

Mrs. Hollifield was born July 13, 1939 in Gilmer County, the daughter of the late Fred and Ada Green Rogers. She was a former employee of Blue Ridge Carpet and was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include: husband, William Hollifield, sons; David Rogers, Murphy ,NC, Rev. Jeff Hollifield, Ellijay, daughters; Peggy Carnes, Ellijay and Billie Ash, Blue Ridge, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm from the Rock Creek Baptist Church with Rev. John Newton and Rev. Edwin Land officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The body will lie-in-state at the church Friday from 1:00 until 2:00pm.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 12 noon until 9:00pm at the funeral home.
