The Team FYN Sports Sports Writer Player of the week for the Gilmer Bobcats is Senior Quarterback and Defensive back David Smith.  In the 28-0 loss to the rebels of Fannin Co last Friday, Smith was 4-10 passing for 49 yards and rushed the ball 7 times for 18 yards.  Defensively, David Smith had an interception in the Red Zone to prevent the Rebels from putting points on the board.

Smith will lead the Bobcats into battle this Friday as they travel to Rabun Gap for a 4:30 kick off.
