Mr. Lloyd Lee Asbridge, Sr., age 88 of Ellijay, GA died on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at his residence.He was born May 7, 1925 in Salem, Missouri, he was the son of the late Archie Asbridge and the late Edna Conway Asbridge. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and an honorably discharged Navy veteran who was detailed with an amphibious assault team during World War II. Mr. Asbridge is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Asbridge, brother, Archie Myrl Asbridge and sister, Edith Arlene Hanbury.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Linda Asbridge of Ellijay, GA, Lloyd Lee and Joni Asbridge, Jr. of Hartsville, TN, Robert Duayne Asbridge of Calhoun, GA , daughter, Diana Marie Hyatt of Cape Coral, FL; 12 grand children; 9 great grandchildren also survive.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday December 16th, 2013 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ruben Smith officiating. Irene Wofford will provide musicand vocals. A military service will follow in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with Military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Logan Funeral Home, 357 Dalton Street, Ellijay, Georgia.
