Voter Registration and Absentee Voting Info for Education SPLOST

Legal Notice

Deadline for registration for participating in the election is February 17, 2015. If people wish to check their registration, they may do so at http://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/ or they may call us at (706) 635-4617.There is no roll-over of absentee requests for Special Elections, so anyone who needs an absentee ballot will have to make a new request regardless of whether they have made requests for absentee ballots in the past due to age, disability, or military service. Of course, anyone is eligible to vote absentee by mail for any reason in this or any election. We just want to make especially sure that our “roll-over voters” know that they will need to make a separate request for this election and will not be expecting to automatically receive a ballot. The earliest date we can mail an absentee ballot is Monday, February 23, 2015.

Early Voting will begin Monday, February 23, 2015. Hours will be 8:30 – 5:00 Monday through Friday at the office of the Voter Registrar. There will be no Saturday voting for this election. The last day for Early Voting will be Friday, March 13, 2015 for the March 17, 2015 Special Election.
