Jacob Fortenberry was 10th overall but 1st in his age group of 19 and under. The ladies overall winner was Mistil Langston. Regardless of where the runners came in it was quite clear they all were running for a reason. Fetchyournews.com spoke with Daisy Aguillon, from Ellijay, who finished the race through pain she still experiences from a back surgery she had undergone last year.

Daisy ran with the David Johnson team. We also spoke with Jennifer Kinney who told us she ran for her Grandfather, Cliff Kinney. Jennifer lives in Ellijay and finished the race with a time of 30:48. All ages came out for the run, we spoke with Lucas Patterson and Matthew Fortenberry 7th grade, who told us they finished the 5k. There was also a Tot Trot that started at 10:30 am.

There were many fun things going on during the day including an Auto show

Chrysler Prowler owned by Joan Watkins

The auto show was sponsored by Larry’s Body Shop, Jim Logan Insurance, Smitty’s Engraving, A-1 Auto Rental North GA Imports, and Tipps Taxi with a trophy presented for the top 25 vehicles. FYN will be posting more pictures of the autos soon!
