The Cartecay River Experience tubing and kayaking company is sponsoring an Earth Day river clean-up event on Saturday, April 23rd. Volunteers are meeting at the Cartecay facility on Highway 52 at 9am and will be given free kayak and tube rentals and shuttle service for the day. An expected 25-125 volunteers will use burlap sacks to pick up litter as they float down the river.
Afterwards, volunteers can relax for a big picnic back at the Cartecay facility, followed by games and live music by the Waylan Pour Boys.
