At the November 3rd Budget Hearing, the County Extension Services department submitted its budget request for next year. Extension Services’ budgeted expenditure for this year is $38,267. The department’s requested expenditure for next year is $38,211, a decrease of $56.
During the hearing, when Post One Commissioner Will Beattie asked what services the department provides, Department Coordinator Renee Dotson explained that the Extension Services performs water and soil testing for agricultural purposes and offer several finance and nutrition classes for the public.
