Shooting occurs in Coosawattee

A shooting has occurred in Coosawattee in Ellijay, GA. According to the Sheriff’s Department a female was shot in the leg by her male roommate at a residence in Coosawattee. There was a brief standoff with a male but he was arrested without incident.

The man arrested, who’s name we believe to be Mr. Coker, is in his 60’s. The female victim was reportedly doing ok. There does not seem to be a romantic involvement and it appeared both had been drinking pretty heavily.
