The Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce held their 33rd Annual Dinner last Thursday, January 19th at the First Baptist Chuch, Ellijay.The dinner started the evening off with a welcome by Speaker of the House, David Ralston. During the evening the member of the year, Pam Fox, was announced by Kathy Robinson. The business of the year, North Georgia Medical Center, was announced by Tery Palmeri. Hospital Administrator, Jeff Dunn accepted the award. Also announced during the evening was the citizen of the year. The past citizen of the year was Mitchell Morgan. Lex Rainey has been chosen as the 2012 citizen of the year. Chairman Bill Craig passed the gavel to the new Chair, Amber Davenport. A wonderful night was had by all in attendance.
