At our May 13th meeting, Sandy Lyons, who is in charge of the Veterans Park, gave our club a MOST interesting presentation on his accomplishments at the Park. Among other things Sandy has engraved blocks of marble with the 10 Commandments and the Gettysburg Address. Pardon my personal comment, but thank GOD someone is standing up for our 10 Commandments that have been removed from so many public places.
An exciting program has been planned in the park on Memorial Day. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
In other business, President Mahan, President elect Calvin Rolan and Barbara Ellis gave reports about Rotary’s annual convention. Next year’s convention will be held at Jekyll Island. All Rotarians are encouraged to attend.
