Dorothy Bailey Collins, age 90, of East Ellijay, Georgia passed on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the Gilmer Nursing Home. Mrs. Collins was Born on December 25, 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Bailey and the late Linda Collier Bailey. She was a graduate of Heard County High School, Class of 1940 and worked for many Department stores as a Credit Manager. Mrs. Collins was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellijay.

She is Survived by her husband of 71 years, Louis Tye Collins of Ellijay; sons and daughter-in-law, Louis Thomas Collins of Jacksonville, FL and Robert Tye and Lili Collins of Jacksonville, FL, daughters and sons-in-law, Mitse Suit and the Late Alan Lee Suit of Woodstock, GA and Lisa and James Kiser of Seneca, SC, sister, Marian Ryals of Buckatunna, MS; 7 grand children; 9 great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Jefferson Bailey, Jr.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday November 30th, 2013 at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Barton officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Logan Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Georgia Masonic Children’s Home at P.O. Box 4183 Macon, GA 31208 in memory of Mrs. Collins.
