From the GCSO: The Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting a 65 acre prescribed burn today (Friday, March 21) in the 5600 block of Woodring Branch Rd. Residents in western Gilmer County, north of Carters Lake, may experience smoke from this burn. Hwy 282 may become impacted by smoke, drivers will need to use caution in this area.
