The Gilmer County Board of Commissioners (BOC) held a regular meeting last Thursday night. The agenda included the following items: 1. A resolution authorizing post-issuance compliance policies and procedures.
The item was tabled until Tuesday.

2. Appointment of member Paul Nealey to the Gilmer County Library Board of Trustees.
The item was approved unanimously.

3. Appointment of member Jean Smilie to the Highland Rivers Health Board.
The item was approved unanimously.

4. Authorize chairman to execute the department of human services contract for family connection fiscal agent services.
The item was approved unanimously.

5. Award bid for asphalt product company, CW Matthews (the only bidder).
The item was approved unanimously.

6. Award bid for concrete products, West Block (the only bidder).
The item was approved unanimously.

7. Award bid for Emulsion Products, SeaCo. There were three bidders in all: SeaCo’s bid for CRS-2 was $2.00 per delivered gallon, Blacklidge quoted $2.17 per delivered gallon, and Hudson materials quoted $2.20 per delivered gallon.
The item was approved unanimously.

8. Awardi bid for propane products, Thomas Oil. There were two bidders in all, Thomas Oil’s bid was $1.297 and Heritage Propane’s bid was $1.61.
The item was approved unanimously.

9. Award bid for stone products, Vulcan. The other bidder was Blue Grass Materials Company.
The item was approved unanimously.

10. Final Decision for approval by the Gilmer BOC of the recommendation by the Gilmer county planning commission approving the application for amendment to the Gilmer county land use (zoning) district map, Norman Chastain, tax map 3054, parcel no. 003 (R-1, Residential Low Density to A-1, Agricultural)
The item was approved unanimously.

11. Final Decision for approval by the Gilmer County BOC of the recommendation by the Gilmer County Planning Commission approving the application for amendment to Gilmer county land use (zoning) district map, Janice Hale, Tax Map, 3127, parcel No. 025 (R-1, Residential low density to A-1, Agricultural)
The item was approved unanimously.

12. Authorize the execution of the agreement for transition operating assistance with the Georgia Department of Transportation for 2015 operating assistance for public transportation services.
The item was tabled.

13. Re-appointment of members to the Gilmer county DFCS board.
The item was approved unanimously.
