The Gilmer High School Bobcats football team defeated the Fannin High School Rebels 41-7 in the opening game of the season for both long time rivals. Garrett Rigdon’s 70 yard interception return began a route that featured four Russell Cochran rushing touchdown (42, 6, 23, and 30 yards) and a 55 yard touchdown run from Chris James.Head coach, Wesley Tankersley spoke briefly with FYN about the win.
