Rev. Dennis Jerald “Jerry” Joiner, age 73 of Ellijay, Georgia died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.Rev. Joiner was born August 10, 1941 in Tarrant, AL to his late parents Dennis Edward and Joyce Evelyn Seale Joiner. He was a graduate of Tarrant City High School, class of 1959, and received his B.S. from Auburn University in 1967. He was co founder of Shilo Place mens home through Redemption Outreach Ministries in 2009. Jerry worked as Sr. Vice President of Sales for American Signature Graphics. He is preceded in death by sister Joyce Joiner Giles and brother David Edward Joiner. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Redemption Outreach, P.O. Box 545, Jasper, GA 30143 in memory of Rev. Joiner.

He is survived by his wife, Judith “Judie” Joiner of the home in Ellijay, GA; Sons and daughters-in-law John and Alisa Joiner of Social Circle, GA, Patrick and Kelly Joiner of Woodstock, GA, and Joshua and Patti Joiner of Braselton, GA; Grandchildren, Christopher, Kelan, Molly, Mattea, and Jackie Hicks, and Alyssa Gaddis; Sisters, Donna J. Hosey of Birmingham, AL. and Nancy J. and Larry Martin of Cullman, AL A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Harrison officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Logan Funeral Home.
