Amid heat and threatening weather, citizens and visitors alike flocked downtown on Friday, September 4, to officially celebrate the opening of the DDA’s Boardwalk.

Crowding around Bunk’s on the Boardwalk, attendees were treated to a live concert by Downtown Roy, a local band, and artistry, crafts, and shopping with the local vendors downtown.

The celebration continued into the later hours of the day with people spreading across the square and around Ellijay as they kicked off their Labor Day Weekend.
