Gilmer Public Library’s Festival of the Trees

Opening celebrations for the 22nd year of the Gilmer County Public Library’s Festival of the Trees began November 30, 2015.

The tradition goes back for many to the Library’s previous location at what is now Dalton State College. You can see all 28 trees located at the library throughout the month of December anytime the library is open.

This year the celebration hosted the Gilmer High School Jazz Band and the chorus from Mountain View Elementary with refreshments and door prizes provided by the Friends of the Gilmer County Public Library.

Almost two hours were spent enjoying Christmas music and great snacks while meeting Santa for pictures and stopping to look in detail at trees ranging from Relay for Life to the Gilmer Chamber and Sugar Plum Visions.

Check out more photos at FYN’s Festival of the Trees Album.
