PLEASE TAKE NOTE – The Cartecay river is now at flood stage and quickly rising. DO NOT…DO NOT…DO NOT travel on the roads in this vicinity until further notice.
Many Gilmer County streets and roads are now under water, some houses are currently flooded. All residents are urged to remain at their current location until further advised. Information provided by the Gilmer County Public Safety.
