Two Gilmer County athletes the coaches called “the hardest working guys we had on the football field” have signed letters of intent for the future college careers.
Russell Cochran, a team captain, has signed with Faulkner University. Cochran held 158 carries for 778 yards. He also rushed for over 1,600 yards as a Junior and holds two all region Running Back positions.
Thaddeus Bowers, also a team captain, has signed with Reinhardt University. Bowers played three positions as a senior. He collected 25 catches for 344 yards as a receiver, threw for over 500 yards and rushed for 328 yards as a quarterback, and pushed 23 tackles on defense and returned kicks.
