Join us for this week’s story “Clowning Around” All ages welcome. Both Story time and LapSit are excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.
My 1st Book Club

My First Book Club “The One & Only Ivan” by K.A. Applegate. For children in grades 2-4. Drop by the library before the meeting to pick up your reading packet. Read the book before the meeting and come prepared to discuss the book with other children. Kids 9 and under with adult supervision please.
Lego Club

The Lego Club has a different theme each month. Children can work alone or in teams to make their special creation, which will be displayed in the library until next month’s meeting. All ages, under 9 years of age with an adult please.

Book Binding Clinic

Book lovers who want to bring new life to old books or Bibles will receive free estimates on restoration. Jack Kyle, a retired book binder, will be available to explain how he can restore and rebind your cherished items.

Basic Computer Skills
Do computers make you nervous? Do you want to learn how the basics of using a computer? If so, join us for our Basic Computer Skills Seminar. This is a hands-on type seminar. An active library card is required.
Lunch & Learn Knitting
Wednesday, March 9 @ 12:00 PM
Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! It’s OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color. This is a “drop in when you can” event.
GCGSI Monthly Meeting

Raland Patterson is a local author and TV Host from Fannin County, He has written several books including “Gravelly Gap”, “Sugar Creek” and “Bear Cat”. His family has lived in Fannin County since the late 1800’s. He currently serves as TV host to the popular “Those Who Served” hosted by ETC.
The Friends of the Library Bookshelf
The Bookshelf is offering a beautiful collection of classic books, all fine bindings and in like new condition. Although these are great for display, they’re intended to be read as well, printed on excellent paper and in comfortable font sizes. It will be hard to choose just a few.
Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from noon-2:00 on Saturdays
