Join us for this week’s story “Lions, Tigers & Bears” All ages welcome. Both Story Time and LapSit are excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

PowerPoint 101

PowerPoint can help you share slides and tell your story in an impressive way. In this seminar, we will show you how to get started with PowerPoint and introduce you to a few customizations to spice up presentations. A library card and preregistration are required.

Lunch & Learn Knitting

Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! Its OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color. This is a “drop in when you can” event.

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf
The Bookshelf is offering a large collection of inspirational fiction this week, larger trade-sized paperbacks, all priced at $1.00. You’ll find them near the cash register in the Bookshelf on the “special collection” shelf.
Don’t forget to pick up a stash of magazines for road trips, a true bargain at $.25 each. Magazines are displayed on the rack outside the Bookshelf and in the non-fiction “back room” as well.
