Money Smart Week 4/23/16 – 4/30/16
Celebrate National Money Smart Week with GCL. GCL and the Gilmer County Extension Office will be partnering throughout the week to offer the following amazing programs:
Monday 4/25/16 – Getting Out of Debt 10:00 AM
County Extension Coordinator Renee Dotson will present solid and proven ways to get out of debt.
Tuesday 4/26/16 – Excel-lent Budgeting 12:00 PM
Heath Lee will present a special Excel seminar that will show you how to use the program to help you track your personal budget.
Wednesday 4/27/16 – Budgeting 101 10:00 AM
Prefer to track your budget via other methods? Dotson will present solid and proven ways to craft and stick to a household budget.

Join us for this week’s story “Blowing Bubbles” All ages welcome. Both Story Time and LapSit are excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

Lunch & Learn Knitting

Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! Its OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color. This is a “drop in when you can” event.
The Friends of the Library Bookshelf

Get a head start on summer reading for kids our selection of “chapter” books for young readers. This like new collection includes both classic and contemporary authors, beautiful books priced at $.50 each.
Don’t forget to pick up a stash of magazines for road trips, a true bargain at $.25 each. Magazines are displayed on the rack outside the Bookshelf and in the non-fiction “back room” as well.
