Child Programs

Family Story Times
Tuesday, August 15 @ 10:30 AM
Wednesday, August 16 @ 4:00 PM
Join us for this week’s story “Commotion in the Ocean!” All ages welcome. Both Story Time and LapSit are excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

Reading Dogs
Tuesday, August 16 @ 4:00 PM
Children 4 years of age and older can read to a therapy dog who won’t laugh if mistakes are made or the reader stumbles. Children are asked to select their own reading material before their scheduled session or come in before the program and we can help you with a selection. Call the library for more details.
All Ages

Saturday Matinee – The Huntsman
Saturday, August 20 @ 2:00 PM
The Huntsman: Winter’s War – Betrayed by her evil sister Ravenna, heartbroken Freya retreats to a northern kingdom to raise an army of huntsmen as her protectors. Gifted with the ability to freeze her enemies in ice, Freya teaches her young soldiers to never fall in love. When Eric and fellow warrior Sara defy this rule, the angry queen does whatever she can to stop them. Free refreshments!

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf

Art, art, art! The Bookshelf has received a huge donation of how-to art books, all in excellent condition. There are too many of these beauties to put out at once, so this special will last for two weeks – keep checking back for more titles.

Take a look at the “last chance” shelves where our inventory of half-priced books is refreshed weekly. You can put your payment for these books in the donations box if the Bookshelf is closed.
