Join us for this week’s story “Under the Sea!” All ages welcome. Family Story Time is an excellent ways to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

Bring your brown bag lunch, needles and yarn to the Gilmer County Library. Lauren Cape and Lynda Decker will be your host and teacher. Already know how to knit, come for the fun! It’s OK if can’t come to all the meetings. If knitting, bring #8 needles and yarn of any color. If crocheting, bring G or H hooks and Peaches & Cream cotton yarn of any color.

Living a bleak existence at a London orphanage, 12-year-old Peter finds himself whisked away to the fantastical world of Neverland. Adventure awaits as he meets new friend James Hook.
Enjoy a free movie at the library and watch “Pan”. Come early to make pirate crafts. Kids 9 and under with adult Supervision. Free Refreshments.

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf

More beautiful art books will be added to the Bookshelf collection this weeks. You’ll find additional books on composition, oil and watercolor techniques, and dealing with specific subjects.

Remember that the library welcomes donations of gently read books and magazines. Those that the library doesn’t need come to the Bookshelf, with all the proceeds benefiting the library. Don’t forget to visit the “back room” of the Bookshelf for newly stocked non-fiction and magazines.
