All ages welcome. Family Story Time is an excellent way to strengthen your children’s literacy skills, and all stories are always followed by a simple craft you can complete with your child.

The Lego Plus Crew

Lego Plus Crew has a different theme each month, and we now offer KNex building sets. Children can work alone or in teams to make their own special creations, which will be displayed at the library until the next month’s meeting. Or follow the KNex plans to build planes, UFOs, and more. Lego Plus Crew is open to anyone who wants to participate.

GCGSI Monthly Meeting

Leslie Thomas, President of the Georgia Trail of Tears Association and Gilmer History Center,  will speak about the collection of sketches and writings from Dr. Charles O. Walker’s travels to Oklahoma in search of the evidence of homesteads and old towns that had been settled by the Eastern Band of Cherokees

 

 

 

The Friends of the Library Bookshelf

Calling all fans of sci-fi and the supernatural.  The Bookshelf is featuring a huge collection of sci-fi books, many of which are unread. You will also find a nice selection of unusual books on the supernatural.

Look at the “last chance” shelves where our inventory of half-priced books is restocked weekly.  You can put your payment for these books in the donations box if the Bookshelf is closed.

Bookshelf hours are from 10:30-5:00 on weekdays and from 12:00-2:00 on Saturdays
