Bobcats Take Big Win

Team FYN Sports

As the fields flooded in Murray Co. on Friday, the Bobcats of Gilmer welcomed the Indians to Bobcat Field and did not treat them well.  The Bobcats cleated up and brought their A-game.  Brookes Rosser took the mound with his head set on keeping the Indians at bay and that he did.  Rosser carried a no-no into the 4th when an Indian swing pushed the baseball just passed Bobcat Shortstop Evan Frady.  Rosser had a complete game win allowing 1 hit, 2 walks and 1 K in the 5 inning Mercy Rule.

The Bobcats defense played a complete game committing only 1 error  and keeping the Indians off the base pads.  The wind was cold but the bats of Gilmer were hot putting 7 runs on the board in the first inning. The Bobcats would add 2 runs in the third, 5 runs in the fourth and 1 in the fifth giving them the Mercy Rule win 15-0. Leading the way from the plate were#2 Evan Frady 3-4 and helping out his own cause was #18 Brookes Rosser who was 2-4.
