Mr. Larry D. Walker, age 50, of Ellijay, died Saturday, September 15, 2018.

Mr. Walker was born May 2, 1968, in Gilmer County, the son of Randall Walker and Mary Alice Quarles. He was a 1986 graduate of Gilmer High School, graduated North Georgia College, went on to work in the Gilmer County School System and at the time of his death was the Principal of Gilmer Middle School. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife; Robyn Silas Walker, daughters; Mary Elizabeth and Hannah Walker, parents; Randall Walker, and Mary Alice McClure and husband; Harry McClure all of Ellijay, brothers and sister-in-law’s; Lamar and Sherry Walker, Ellijay, Scotty and Robin Walker, Blairsville, sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; Renee and Jeff Waters, Boliver, Missouri, Clay Silas, Blue Ridge, grandmother; Martha Walker, Ellijay, nieces and nephews, Kyle Walker, Nolan Walker, Trey Walker, Mitchell Waters, Kelsey Waters, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 20 at 2:00pm from the First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones Rev. Lamar Beason and Rev. Brian Clayton officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: The Larry Walker Memorial Fund % of United Community Bank or The Christian Learning Center in memory of Mr. Walker.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
