Three Ellijay men have been charged with murder

PRESS RELEASE – Gilmer County Sheriff Stacy Nicholson announces that three Ellijay men have been charged with Felony Murder, stemming from an investigation which began on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at approximately 10:50PM.

Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a person being shot. Upon their arrival, along with EMS personnel, MALLORY LYRIC WARDEN, age 19 of Jasper, was found in a car with a gunshot wound. This was in the area of the 200 block of South Main Street in Ellijay, however, it was later determined that the shooting took place on Talona Road in Gilmer County. Warden was transported to the hospital where she later died.

Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office deputies, detectives, and GBI agents who were called in to assist in the investigation, began an investigation into this case. At this point, GRAY ANTHONY MCCLURE, age 21 of Ellijay, ROBERT GABRIEL SHOILEKOV, age 17 of Ellijay, and DAVONNTE LAVON BREHON, age 18 of Ellijay, have been charged with Felony Murder.

This investigation is being spearheaded by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as well as Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office detectives.
